UAAP Season 71 Updates and Overall Standings

    September 29th, 2008 by reichmakayan

Alright! So the UAAP Basketball competitions are officially over. The Ateneo Blue Eagles swept the Archers (really! I don’t care much…) last Thursday, September 25, and were crowned 71st UAAP champs for the Men’s division. Their junior counterparts did their own thing, defeated the resilient Baby Tamaraws (can you already feel my nonchalance?!), 60-71, and clinched the Juniors title last September 27. Meanwhile, the FEU Lady Tamaraws touted the UP Lady Maroons, 52-46, as they claimed the Green and Gold’s ninth title in the Women’s division.
Since I’m so not in the mood to say really write anything today (oh yeah! This is another one of my “just-so-you-know” blogs), I’ll just list down the awardees and the other updates about the UAAP (it’s not all about basketball people!)

September 29th, 2008 by reichmakayan Rachell Makayan is a 2008 graduate of the FEU-IN. A former sports writer of The Advocate. The product of an Ilocana mother and a Bicolano father (but trust me she doesn't know how to speak both provinces' dialect). The only FEU alumnus in her family, she constantly finds herself fighting over her mom, dad and sister every time the Tams plays the Warriors (Of course, she wins most of the time).
