UAAP MBB S72: Tams slip in first step
July 14th, 2009 by ian.evasco
Defending champion Ateneo gave early notice to the rest of the UAAP after surviving a close contest against the FEU Tamaraws, 63-59. Billed as the top contender at the start of the season, FEU scorched hot in the early minutes of the game but failed to counter an Ateneo rally in following minutes, that enabled the blue squad to erect a manageable lead going into the second half.
FEU rallied in the third but Ateneo proved tougher in the end to notch its first win in the season.
