UAAP S72 R1: Tams send Maroons back to ground

UP’s reputation of giant killer was quickly erased by the FEU Tamaraws, as the host team this year dominated the Maroons 77-65. The Tams led from start to finish, erecting a gap as big as 18 points until UP made a late 10-0 run to spark hopes of another huge upset one week after shocking defending champion Ateneo in the first round of UAAP Season 72.
Rookies RR Garcia and Pipo Noundou led the Tams with 15 and and 14 points. FEU rises to 4-1, while UP slumps to 1-4 .
