UAAP S71 R2: Tigers powerless against charging Tams
August 6th, 2009 by ian.evasco,center>
Never looking back from a hot start, the FEU Tamaraws smothered the UST Tigers 90-63 to rack up its fifth straight win in UAAP Season 72. Aldrech Ramos and Pipo Noundou took advantage of a frail UST frontcourt to dominate the paint with both posting double-doubles.
Ramos finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds, while “Pipo Power” tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds. Tiger rookie Jeric Teng led his squad with 20 points, while Chris Camus and Dylan Ababou notched 10 points each after escaping possible suspensions following major offenses committed in UST’s heart-breaking loss against DLSU last Sunday.
FEU rises to 5-1, while UST slids to 3-3.
Quarter Scores:
20-14, 47-25, 64-48, 90-63
