Tams charge on for Mac
July 28th, 2008 by ian.evasco
The FEU Tamaraws displayed their heart in the most challenging of situations after winning against the UE Red Warriors, 71-69, last Saturday at the PhilSports Arena. With the Tams morale heavily damaged due to the shooting incident involving top power forward Mac Baracael less than two days before, FEU drew strength from their fallen teammate and each other. Benedict Fernandez certified his stature as King Tamaraw after rallying his team from a 10 point deficit during a crucial stretch in the third quarter and finished with a team high of 19 points. The game also marked a unique halftime show, as the cheering squads of both schools performed a combo routine tagged “FEUE”. The Tams are now dedicating this season to their fallen teammate. The win shoved FEU to solo-third place at 4-1, while the Warriors dropped to 3-3. To visit the photo gallery, click HERE
TamarawBayan.com urges the FEU community to continue praying for Mac’s recovery and justice for those like him who have been victims of senseless violence.
