New addition to the family, FEU-Makati
October 5th, 2009 by ian.evascoFAR EASTERN UNIVERSITY is putting up a new campus in Makati City and has forged a deal to lease the old Zuellig Pharma building on Buendia Avenue corner Malugay Street from an Ayala-owned unit.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, FEU said its board of directors had approved in a special meeting the opening of a branch within the country’s premier financial district.
FEU had entered into a lease agreement with Crans Montana Property Holdings Corp. for the Makati property.
FEU vice chair Aurelio Montinola III yesterday said the new campus at the site of the former Zuellig Pharma building might open next year.

I think its better if they will put the business-related and computer-related courses there, since it’s a financial district what they’ve told above. It will be easier for the student to do OJTs and other hands-on stuff! FEU will lead the country in the future and that’s for sure. Putting up quality education all around the country. FEU-Manila, FEU-NRMF in Fairview, FEU-FERN College in Diliman, FEU-Silang in Cavite and now, FEU-Makati. Where will be the next branch?

hmm I’m glad to hear that at least our school continues to expand & improve, and aims to be a better or even the best school in our country someday.

@chona maria:
FEU is among the best schools in Southeast Asia. only the so called FAB4 (UP,UST, ADMU & DLSU) won’t accept it as a FACT. FEU holds the most populated school in the 1980′s and even now with a lot of advancement in Accountancy, Nursing, Medicine & Engineering.
FEU has a lot of “FAMOUS ALUMNA” in the country & worldwide who excels in their major fields. Not only famous in SHOWBIZ or POLITICS take note =)
I’m so proud and I can say that FEU outnumbers the so called FAB 4 in MAJOR COURSES these days… Gone are the days of “UP & Others” and gone are the days of THEM dominating the Board exams.
GOD BLESS ALL THE TAMARAWS in all professions & disciplines =)
BE PROUD, FEU tayo =)

My brother and I are proud FEU alumni. We both work for a Fortune 100 company. Being an FEU graduate didn’t hinder us in succeeding in our career.

I’ve seen the building’s site, unintentionally. The bus I was riding was trying to gather more passengers so it sort of made another swerve and I saw the construction for FEU-Makati. From my bus seat, I can see that it’s a one-building campus, and the facet, I believe, would be a lot similar with the new TB. ^^

March 1st, 2010 at 4:21 pm
Ahm. sa’kin kasi..
i think the admin should focus on improving a particular FEU branch first than beginning to start a new one.
i think it would be better to hear about FEU being an outstanding university than the rest..than to hear FEU has many branches than the rest.
We need not to compete with number of branches of other universities.
We need to focus more on Knowledge,Skills and ATTITUDE.!

Nice building in Buendia Ave… We will be more competitive with the addition of FEU Makati. We hope that this will bring more world class facilities and world class students

I hope with the establishment of the FEU Makati campus FEU will begin to improve FEU Manila, with accademics. FEU should be STRICT with the FEUCAT, screen incoming freshmen, impose cut offs, improve deteriorating facilities, I think FEU should start topping board exams again. The change should begin with the MAIN CAMPUS, only then will it begin to regain its lost glory.

Does the FEU main still offer accountancy? or all of the accountancy student should transfer to FEU Makati? (confused) :))

It is very disappointing to know that FEU MAKATI DOESN’T ALLOW students from public schools to enter in the campus for library researches. How would people know the quality of services of this school if they’re limiting their services to HIGH-END school students? They must open the school services to EVERYONE! I did not expect that FEU has a discrimination! It is really, really disgusting! For your information, you are not even of the same level with UST. How much with more De la Salle and Ateneo??

Hello,
THere’s a protocol in entering the FEU library and that is you need to secure an endorsement from your school or professor. You cannot just barge in any private university and expect them to give you free access like the ones enrolled there. If you want to visit the site, it’s best to set up an appointment and FEU normally gives FREE tours around the campuses. Try it…
Regards,
ian
