Fil-Oil MVP Cup: Tams fill holes to trounce Maroons
April 30th, 2009 by ian.evasco
The FEU Tamaraws opened their campaign in the Fil-Oil MVP Cup with a win against UP despite the absence of several key players. The Tams led from start to finish and choked the Diliman boys with their press defense and strong post play from big men Pipo Noundou and Reil Cervantes.
Rookie RR Garcia led FEU with 18 points and ably filled in the shoes of lead guard Andy Barroca, who along with JR Cawaling and Aldrech Ramos are training overseas with the Smart-Gilas RP Team.
